The ceramic production of South Italy has always been characterized by a popular feature. The creation of functional wares for the house was flanked by a lively colored decoration in relief. The egg-keeper is composed by a little cup for the salt and all around there are three little cups for the eggs over lion paws . The majolica salt cellars were very popular in South Italy, some of them were elaborated, creative and portrayed bust of women.
