The little panel is painted  with three little girls by the sea. The work was created using the “dough” technique over the “still majolica”, it allowed to reach the same results of the oil panting and watercolors also on majolica. The author Tomaso Dal Pozzo (1862 – 1906) painted a truthful scene with the characteristic of an immediate moment from the ordinary life. He was a pupil of Achille Farina and Antonio Berti, the latest master helped him to come in contact with the “macchiaioli” art current in Florence; they influenced the artist’s production thanks to the realistic pictorial technique of the “spot”.
